Simple Reflections Photography – Bozeman, MT »

As I quickly approach the five year anniversary of starting my photography business (just over a month to go!), I’m reminded of the many wonderful people I’ve had the chance to work with, become friends with, and get to share a moment in their lives with. I truly seem to come across some of the best people! Honestly, it makes me a little nostalgic. A lot has happened in the past five years. I had a baby, picked up and moved cross country, and then had another baby. The whole time, though, my camera has been by my side capturing my adventures.

My joy has always come from being behind the lens, despite bad weather, sick kids, or frazzled brides. I like to get up close and personal, stepping into a family for just a short time. I love watching some clients go from a wedding to having a baby, others going from one or two kids to more, sometimes unexpectedly, and yet others move to begin new lives elsewhere themselves. I decided to go through many of my old session files and pull out just a selection of my favorites. No, I didn’t get to include everyone…you would be looking at them all day! While some of them might not be so old (they go through Fall 2011), others date back to 2008. I hope you enjoy the trip down memory lane as much as I did!

 

What do you get when you have a camera, a handful of adorable girls, a little bit of snow, and fun sweaters, hats and boots? Snow day mini-sessions! I had the opportunity to work with three brand new families Saturday; we had fun playing outside on a sunny morning and spent just the right amount of time together before getting too cold.
