One thing I love when I return to Virginia for visits is seeing my clients again. Just as good is meeting some new ones! This go around, I did an afternoon of mini-sessions with two old and two new, and boy was it a hot one. A lot of crazy faces, pet rocks, and animal crackers later, here is the sneak peek for these minis…

What a fantastic way to wrap up my week! I headed south of Bozeman to meet up with this family tonight. It was one of those rare times when every single thing comes together perfectly~fun, easy-going subjects, the last few minutes before a thunderstorm arrived, and some serious mojo that makes it hard to choose just a handful of shots for the sneak peek. We had to work quickly but managed to get some amazing keepsakes for them!

It was definitely different for me to pull up to this afternoon’s shoot and see a Virginia license plate! This little lady’s mom and I seemingly live parallel lives. We both grew up in Virginia, not even an hour from each other, graduated from college the same year, had our first child within a couple of months, and both landed in Bozeman last summer. Both of us became part of a playgroup back in the fall that helped me survive my first Montana winter, sharing stories and lots of cheddar bunnies! Now we both have newborn daughters, and I finally got the privilege of meeting her today and capturing sweet moments for this family of four.

Love the backdrop here!
