I never imagined when I first met Tessa seven years ago that I would one day be photographing her wedding. It has been fun to keep tabs on her relationship with Dave through our mutual friend Sabrina, and I was so excited when she asked if I could make a trip back to Lynchburg for her big day. After having my own family portraits done over the weekend, I have become even more empathetic toward parents who try to wrangle in their kids for just one nice family photo. I met “K” and his parents Saturday evening, and while he was awfully sparing with his smiles, I managed to get some great ones. And when he gives them, he gives them!

Love this one…aren’t they a cute little family?
